When you work in a job and you have a boss you have certain rules that you have to follow. And you have a certain system to work with. You may have help with progression and working your way up and you may have a strict routine that you have to follow. This is OK if you want to work in a job for the rest of your life, but there are other ways to sustain yourself that we will go into now.
One of the easiest ways to leave your longterm job is to start a small business on the side. if you have a spare hour a few times per week you can get started. Here are some very simple ways to get started from today but first just bear in mind that, there are literally hundreds of ways to tie in your passion with starting an online business. When you want to start a home based business from scratch you have to start with clarity.
1) START AN eBAY BUSINESS - Sell anything to start with and build up your brand and then dominate a niche. Use a niche that you have a passion for. Look at your interests when building your eBay brand.
2) START AFFILIATE MARKETING - You can sell and promote anything for nothing. You literally choose what you want to promote and then share your link. There are companies like Clickbank to help you get started. It's FREE.
3) START AN e-BOOK BUSINESS - Start writing books based on your skills, interests and passions. You can start a book today using word and create a cover in paintshop. Look at other books in your niche and try to be as good or better than them.
Already you have 3 FREE ways to start a home based business. The issue is that most people try everything and don't follow through. Then they may quit or get down about failing. The key is to master an area and then build other streams of income.

If you want an offline business you still need a business. So say you love dogs and have a shop selling doggy gifts you will still want to get this online. Stick to your niche and be the main expert that people come to. It is simple to start getting free traffic also.

There are so many ways to start a home based business that you can start something right now. Half of the problem is getting started so, write down some ideas now and get ideas from forums, look at Google trends to see what's going on out there. Try to appeal to your audience authentically and never try to hard sell.
Get involved with social media and create a fan page that is highly targeted to your subject. This is FREE. Facebook still has the most views and YouTube is not far behind so get onto both.
Now you have many free ways to get started online so, stop looking at the shiny stuff and begin an hour per night building your own business for you and your family. Oh and by the way. When you write articles like this make sure you place key words in every paragraph so that your audience can find you.
Start a home based business now as there is no perfect time. But right now people are hungry for you and what you can offer, so be the person that they come to.
